BUENA VISTA TOWNSHIP - Police are seeking a female suspect in connection to the attempted theft at a gas station on Sept. 8.

The suspect allegedly entered the convenience store at Buena Gas at about 8:17 p.m. and ordered the attendant to give her cash from the register, police said.

The attendant refused even after the suspect brandished an unknown weapon in her pocket and contacted state police.

The suspect then fled northbound on State Highway 54, towards Hammonton, police said. She was driving a silver older model 4-door SUV with bright chrome rims and mounted larger tires.

She is described as about 5 feet, 5 inches with dirty blonde or brown hair, and weighs about 200 pounds. She was last seen wearing short white shorts,  a pink T-shire and black flip flops.
