An outage affected more than 500 Atlantic City Electric customers in Pleasantville and Egg Harbor Township Sunday night, the utility reported.

The outage also temporarily disrupted and production of the daily newspaper. Today's print edition may be late arriving in some areas.

An Atlantic City Electric spokesman said that the outage, which was reported shortly after 7 p.m., was due to problem with a feeder line.

Power began to return to some locations shortly after 8 p.m.

The spokesperson said it was possible a utility pole had been downed in Pleasantville, possibly in an accident. Pleasantville police, however, said a minor accident on Decatur Avenue was unrelated.
