Nearly all of the people affected by last night’s wind storms have power restored.

Atlantic City Electric is reporting only 40 active outages and 550 customers without power. The number of customers affected was around 4,000 early this morning.

There are currently scattered outages along the shore communities and western part of Atlantic County.

The National Weather Service reported wind gusts as high as 54 mph at the Atlantic City International Airport in Egg Harbor Township.

The service reports winds should begin to diminish through tonight but gusts up to 40 mph are still possible.
