Local radio host Harry Hurley has been elected to the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia Hall of Fame.
The announcement was made at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia Wednesday. Hurley will be formally inducted at the organization’s dinner on Nov. 22.
Hurley, who hosts a daily morning talk show on WPG Talk Radio 1450, said he is the first person ever from South Jersey to be inducted into the organization, which is the largest of its kind in the country.
“It's a big deal and a huge honor,” he said.
Other members of the class include Danny and The Juniors, Sid Doherty, Jimmy Hirschfeld, Dr. Brian McDonough, Nora Muchanic, Mike Nise, Kathy Orr, Bill Roswell, Vai Sikahema, Len Stevens and Louise Williams Bishop.
