The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey will hold a workshop this week to educate 100 teachers from throughout the state on how to teach the Holocaust and genocide.

The Washington-based United States Holocaust Memorial Museum selected the college for the workshop for teachers of grades 5 to 12 on Tuesday and Wednesday. The teachers will receive books, memoirs from Holocaust survivors and other teaching resources. They will also hear from officials with the museum, the college and the college’s Holocaust museum.

Stockton offers several venues to learn about the Holocaust. The college offers a minor in Holocaust and genocide studies and hosts the Sara & Sam Schoffer Holocaust Resource Center on the main campus in Galloway Township and the Sam Azeez Museum of Woodbine Heritage in Cape May County.
