Hamilton Township police are investigating the theft of soccer and lacrosse equipment.

Police said they were called to the Hickory Street soccer fields Feb. 18 in response to the missing equipment.

According to police, Ronni Drozdov, president of the Hamilton Township Soccer Club, reported 15 soccer goals, three kickback soccer goals and two lacrosse goals were missing. All the missing goals were made of aluminum and were stolen between December and Feb. 18, police said.

The total value of the thefts is about $6,350.

"We're checking to see if anyone took them and sold them to a scrap yard," Lt. Ed Barr said Tuesday. "That's a definite possibility."
