Some little humans entered the world in the early hours of Monday, making them among the first children born in 2018.

Taheem Williams was born to parents Tiosha Goddard and Kaleem Williams, of Atlantic City, around 2:15 a.m. at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Campus in Galloway Township. He weighed 5 pounds, 10 ounces and was 19 inches long.

He joins a 3-year-old brother and shares a birthday with one of his cousins.

Maternal newborn nurse Kathy Fowler, obstetrics nurse Marie Germar and neonatologist Dr. Stephanie Grayson presented the family with a First Baby of 2018 gift basket.

Grayson now shares a birthday with her little patient as she too is a New Year’s Day baby. She was born on the holiday with her twin brother, as was their mother.

In Somers Point, Kristin Lane and Brian Sterback, of Linwood, rang in the New Year by welcoming daughter Hazel, who was born at Shore Medical Center at 3:27 a.m.

The little girl weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 20½ inches long.

At Inspira Medical Center Vineland, the first baby of the year was a boy named R’Shyne. The Millville resident entered the world at 1:21 a.m., weighing exactly 9 pounds and 22 inches long.
