Four suspects have been arrested and charged in connection with a home invasion and brutal beating of a Dennis Township man last month.

State Police said the victim told troopers that three people forced their way into his home, located on Corson Tavern Road, assaulted him and stole cash about 2 a.m. Sept. 18.

The victim was bruised and had a broken rib as a result, police said, adding that he knew his attackers.

A three-week investigation resulted in the arrest of three suspects and a co-conspirator who turned himself in, police said.

On Oct. 3, Kayla Twyman, 25, of Ocean City, was arrested, followed by George Poteat, 23, of Egg Harbor Township, and Mark Rolls, 25, of Ocean City, on Oct. 4, police said. Timothy Nixon, 25, of Ocean City, turned himself in to detectives at the Woodbine station.

All were charged with robbery, aggravated assault, burglary and unlawful weapons charges, and taken to Cape May County Jail.

Bail was set at $150,000 for Twyman and Poteat, and $250,000 for Nixon and Rolls.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
