State Police and the Coast Guard said Monday there is no new information in the search for the fisherman missing in the Delaware Bay since Thursday morning.

Josh Catlett, 24, of the Port Norris section of Commercial Township, remains missing after the boat he was in capsized. Two other crew members were rescued by passing boats.

State Police Lt. Stephen Jones said boats continue to search the water surface near where the boat overturned, factoring in wind and tides to determine where he may have drifted. The Coast Guard called off its search Thursday night, about 12 hours after Catlett first went missing.

Initial reports indicated that Catlett was not wearing a survival suit, which is worn to keep a person dry and prevent hypothermia. The water temperature in that area, six miles west of Cape May Point, was about 43 degrees when the accident occurred.

Investigators’ preliminary finding was that the boat’s dredge snagged an underwater obstruction, possibly churned up or deposited during Hurricane Sandy, which caused the boat to roll over.
