New Jersey State Police have investigated a dozen car break-ins in Fairfield Township since the beginning of December -– most of which involved unlocked vehicles.

Other incidents included burglars breaking into cars to steal valuables and purses left in plain sight.

The majority of the incidents occurred at night in the neighborhoods between Reeves Road west of Gouldtown-Woodruff Road, and Commerce Street in the Tips Trailer Park area, police said.

Anyone with information on these crimes, can call the Bridgeton barracks at 856-451-0101.
