A man was arrested in Atlantic City in connection with a shooting incident that injured three people earlier this month in Somers Point.

Dupree Martin, 18, of Somers Point, was arrested in Brigantine Homes on Wednesday and charged with an armed robbery in the Feb. 2 incident in the 900 block of West New York Avenue.

During the robbery, Edward Hartsough, 28, was shot in the abdomen, Hartsough’s brother Taylor, 21, suffered facial injuries from a punch to the face, and their cousin Matthew Spilane, 23, suffered facial injuries after being struck with a gun, police Chief Michael Boyd said.

Martin was charged with multiple counts of robbery, aggravated assault and weapons offenses. He is being held in Atlantic County jail on $250,000 cash bail, Boyd said.

Somers Point police are still searching for a second person in the robbery. The man is described as 5-foot 11-inches tall, between the ages of 18 and 24, Boyd said.

Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers at 609-625-2616 or Somers Point police Detective Robert Gray at 609-927-6161.
