Atlantic City slot machines have paid out three jackpots worth a total of nearly half a million dollars since the start of the new year, according to casino officials and regulators.

On Sunday, Aubrey G. Hart, Jr., 49, of Harrisonburg, Va., won $250,000 on a $5 slot machine at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, casino officials said. He was playing a “Five Times Pay” machine.

Two weeks earlier, on Jan. 6, a patron won a $100,520 jackpot on a Pharaoh’s Fortune $5 slot machine, according to the Division of Gaming Enforcement. A day later, a Revel patron won $100,000 on a $5 Jacks or Better Poker slot machine, according to regulators.

Last month, a Maryland man won $3.8 million at Borgata – the largest jackpot in the casino’s nine year history – while playing a $5 Wheel of Fortune progressive slot machine.
