The topics of recovering from Hurricane Sandy and preparing for next year’s Super Bowl will headline the annual New Jersey Conference on Tourism, which starts Wednesday in Atlantic City and will feature remarks from Gov. Chris Christie.

More than 300 tourism leaders, business owners and others are expected to gather at Golden Nugget, said Sharon Franz, president of the New Jersey Travel Industry Association.

“It’s a networking event where a lot of partnerships are started,” said Franz, who also works as the marketing director of the Steel Pier in Atlantic City.

In addition to Christie, who is expected to speak for an hour starting 3:45 p.m. , Wednesday, the conference will feature a Louisiana official will speak on rebuilding the tourism industry in that state following natural disasters as well as experts in international marketing and a panel that will discuss the upcoming Super Bowl in New Jersey and ways business can leverage on the event.

Registration is required and includes payment of various fees ranging from $50 to $350 depending on the session.
