VENTNOR - An on-duty officer caught two 17-year-olds in the act of burglarizing a vehicle on south Baton Rouge Avenue at about 1:27 a.m.

Atlantic City police caught the two, who had fled the scene, at Raleigh Avenue and Ventnor Avenue, in possession of stolen goods.

Both were charged as juveniles with burglary, conspiracy and receiving stolen property in Atlantic City. One of the teens was additionally charged with burlary and theft from a vehicle in Ventnor from April 29.

Both are in Harborfields Juvenile Detention Facility pending a preliminary court date in county juvenile court.
