An SUV flipped over when it was struck Saturday afternoon by another SUV on the Atlantic City Expressway in Winslow Township, causing a lengthy backup on the westbound side while crews worked to clear the wreckage, State Police said.
The driver of the overturned SUV suffered only a minor leg injury. Authorities did not release her identity. She was taken to Cooper University Hospital Medical Center in Camden for treatment, Trooper Ryan Plantier said.
Two people in the second SUV were not injured. Their names were not released. Plantier said the driver of the second SUV sideswiped the other vehicle and would be ticketed for careless driving.
The crash occurred near milepost 34. Plantier said traffic was backed up for two miles heading westbound before all lanes were reopened.
