SEA ISLE CITY — Two Philadelphia residents were arrested and charged with lewdness over the weekend after summer police officers witnessed them having sexual intercourse in the ocean.

As a crowd formed on the 46th Street beach, Matthew McPeak, 27, and Stephanie Wallington, 23, were directed out of the water and taken into custody around 4 p.m. Sunday. They were charged with lewdness, a fourth-degree crime, and released on summonses.
