The cause of a fire that began in the garage of a home on Morningside Drive about noon Saturday is under investigation in Hamilton Township.
Two people in the building, Carol Banker, 56, and George Banker, 87, relationship unknown, were transported to the hospital for evaluation.
Police said the garage was fully engulfed and flames had spread to the house when they arrived in the 900 block of Morningside Drive.
Six local fire departments extinguished the fire: Mays Landing, Cologne, Weymouth, Mizpah, South Egg Harbor and Dorothy fire departments.
