Vineland police arrested a 19-year-old man and a juvenile in a robbery and an accident minutes later.

Police went to the 4200 block of Stanley Terrace at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday after a resident reported a robbery in progress. The resident arrived home and found two masked males attempting to steal her television, police said in a release.

When the suspects saw the resident they dropped the television and fled the home, police said. The resident reported $3,000 worth of jewelry, a laptop and medication was stolen.

Minutes after the suspects fled, police were told of a hit and run motor vehicle accident at North Mill Road and Gallagher Drive allegedly involving the suspects’ vehicle. They then identified the suspects and arrested Raymond Reyes, 19, of Vineland and the juvenile. They were arrested later that night, police said.

Reyes was charged with burglary, theft, conspiracy to commit burglary, employing a juvenile during the commission of a crime, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was transported to Cumberland County Jail on $100,000 cash bail.

The juvenile was charged with burglary, theft, conspiracy to commit burglary, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was released to his mother pending a court date.
