Vineland police arrested two students Thursday who allegedly threatened to shoot up Vineland High School on Friday.

A 17-year-old male student of Vineland High School South and a 14-year-old male student of Vineland High School North were charged with creating a false public alarm, police said in a release. They were suspended from school and released to family pending a court date.

Police had warned residents they had heard rumors of violence at the school on Wednesday and asked for the public’s help with information.
