Vineland police make arrests at three local schools

Vineland police charged students at three public schools on Jan. 2.

A 12-year-old female student was involved in a fight with another student at the Memorial Middle School on South Main Road. She also assaulted a security officer who tried to stop her, police said.

She was charged with aggravated assault and simple assault and released to her mother, police said.

At the Landis Middle School on West Landis Avenue a 12-year-old female student and a 13-year-old female student were charged with disorderly conduct after fighting a 14 year-old female student, police said.

The two girls were released to their parents, police said.

At the Vineland High School on East Chestnut Avenue a 15-year-old female student was arrested for possession of a weapon in school after she was found to have stashed a folding pocket knife in her boot, police said. She was released to her mother, police said.
