Downed pole delayed traffic on White Horse Pike near Parkway in Galloway

Traffic in westbound lanes on Rt. 30 in Galloway caused delays as utility crews repaired a downed pole this morning.

According to police: Elen Rustamova-Alcanta, 44, of Galloway, was changing lanes while traveling eastbound on Rt. 30 The White Horse Pike in her Kia Rio and struck a Dodge Van driven by Gary Erario 44, of Galloway. Rustamova-Alcanta then crashed into a utility pole which shut down both lanes of The White Horse Pike for about 30 minutes.

The accident occurred around 7:54 a.m.

Rustamova-Alcanta was transported to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center Mainland Campus fir injuries to her leg, and was issued a summons for careless driving.
