WILDWOOD- During a Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce meeting Wednesday, the mayors or deputy mayors of the four Wildwoods communities emphasized the need for continued funding from the island's Urban Enterprise Zone program.

The four men, speaking at the invitation of the chamber, each said the program had supported various projects that otherwise would never had received funding.

"We reaped a lot of benefits from UEZ money," Wildwood Commissioner Al Brannen said.

UEZ funding has been threatened by cuts in the state budget this year.
