A 48-year-old Millville woman was struck by a car while crossing the street Wednesday night and pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident took place at 11:35 p.m. on West Main Street and Brown Street, police said, when the woman was crossing the street from south to north.
She was struck in the westbound lane by a vehicle driven by a 36-year-old Bridgeton man, police said. The woman, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at 12:20 a.m.
The name of the driver was also not released.
The investigation is continuing, police said.
