Woman robs Galloway pharmacy at gunpoint, police say

Galloway Township police are searching for a woman who demanded money and pills after putting what was believed to be a gun to the back of a CVS pharmacist.

The woman, described as white, about 5 feet tall, with blonde shoulder-length hair, and wearing black pants and a black leather jacket, entered the CVS at 1. S. New York Road at 5:27 p.m. Saturday.

Police said she was wearing a black mask when she approached he pharmacy section of the store. The pharmacist handed the woman prescription pills and she fled the store, police said.

A search for the woman made use of a K-9 officer from Egg Harbor Township, but the suspect's tracks were lost near Waterview Drive.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 652-3705.

Patrolmen Magazzu and Detective Casey are investigating.
