New Jersey Natural Gas released an update this afternoon that Natural gas is now available to 3,708 of customers’ meters on Long Beach Island.

Today, the utility is reintroducing natural gas section of the island's main from Holly Drive to the northern tip of the island in Barnegat Light.

The utility said in a news release stated that it expects to move to 49th Street in the Brant Beach section of Long Beach Township, going south to 85th Street.

Meters are now being rebuilt in the sections where natural gas has been reintroduced, the release stated.
