MARGATE — A construction worker was injured Thursday while drilling a well for a home in the beach block of south Osborne Avenue, police said.

Police responded to the call about 10:30 a.m. Nich-olas Toaneffa, 20, of West Berlin, was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Campus in Atlantic City for injuries sustained from being hit by a length of well pipe, police said.

Toaneffa was conscious, but no other information is available.

Margate construction officials and OSHA are investigating.
