An 18-year-old Hammonton man died Sunday after a vehicle in which he was a passenger crashed into trees along Service Road, Hammonton police said.

Authorities identified the victim as Christopher Goodwin.

The driver of the vehicle was a 17-year-old Folsom resident, whom police did not identify Sunday.

Hammonton police said the vehicle left the roadway and struck the trees. Police responded to the accident at 1:36 a.m.

The juvenile was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus in Atlantic City, with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

The accident is being investigated by Cpl. John Panarello of the Hammonton Police Department.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact Hammonton police at 609-567-4300 or the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office at 609-909-7800.
