Bridgeton police are searching for a male suspect they believe was involved in a stabbing Tuesday night.

Detectives said they seek the identity of a tall male, between the ages of 50 and 60 with white or gray hair. He goes by the name "Pedro," police said.

Roberto Fuentes, 25, suffered three stab wounds - two in the back and one to the front of his torso - Tuesday when he was stabbed behind a liquor store in the 500 block of N. Pearl Street, Det. Let. Michael Gaimari said.

Fuentes is in stable condition at Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

Gaimari said Fuentes and the suspect knew each other and met in a partially wooded area behind the liquor store when an altercation occurred.

The case is being investigated by Det. Jeff Bordley.

Anyone with information should contact the Bridgeton Police Department's Criminal Investigation Bureau at 609-451-0033.
