VINELAND — Police are searching for a man in bright orange sneakers who this week allegedly pointed a handgun at a Dollar Plus convenience store clerk.

The store clerk, who was uninjured, said the man ran away after acting as though he was a customer Wednesday at the store in the 900 block of East Chestnut Avenue. The man threatened the clerk with what seemed like a revolver-type gun and took an undisclosed amount of money, police said.
