BUENA VISTA TOWNSHIP — A Buena man was taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after he was struck by a car.

State Police received a call at 12:19 p.m. for a crash near Sorrento Avenue and Unexpected Road involving a pedestrian, Lt. Ted Schafer said.

The pedestrian, Mark Sunday, 45, was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Hammonton Satellite Emergency Department, for a leg injury, Schafer said. Schafer did not specify the extent of Sunday’s injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, Luther McDonald, 81, of Millville, had not been charged Tuesday afternoon, Schafer said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
