Christmas Trees

The first snow of the season is in the forecast for Saturday. With Christmas only a few weeks away, we are taking the weather on the road to the Nacote Tree Farm. Stop by and meet me in Port Republic from 11 a.m. to noon Friday.

I will be interviewing Bill Montag, from the tree farm, about how weather impacts business. Do colder Decembers or a warm start to the holiday season make people more inclined to buy Christmas trees? Do sales decline or go up when snow falls? I will find the answers to that, plus you will get the answer to how much snow will fall in your town Saturday. I am looking forward to meeting some of South Jersey’s biggest weather enthusiasts.

Nacote Tree Farm is located at 104 Smithville-Port Republic Road in Port Republic.

This is my first newspaper but not my first forecast for NJ. I graduated with a B.S. in Meteorology from Rutgers. Two TV internships gave me a taste for the newsroom. Then, after nearly 4 years in private NJ weather, I'm forecasting South Jersey for you.
