EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP — An Atlantic City man was arrested on charges of holding a woman against her will and forcing her into prostitution Wednesday night, police said.

Police arrived at the Ramada Limited, in West Atlantic City, at 6:53 p.m. after receiving a call about a woman being held against her will and forced to engage in prostitution.

Police arrested Donnie Bethea, 30, and charged him with promoting prostitution, aggravated assault, criminal restraint, aggravated sexual assault and possession of a weapon.

Bethea was taken to Atlantic County jail and bail was set at $250,000.
