Seventeen firearms were stolen from a Dennis Township residence Tuesday night, State Police said.

Troopers from the Woodbine station responded to a call on the 600 block of Petersburg Road, and found the home had been burglarized, with guns and an unknown amount of ammunition taken, State Police said.

Taken were nine handguns and eight rifles, including an AK-47 and a Colt AR-15.

Also taken was a $20 gold piece, two $5 gold pieces and other change.

Anyone with information about the guns or the theft is asked to call the Woodbine Station at 609-861-5698.
