Three Middle Township residents were arrested earlier this month in connection with a string of burglaries that have occurred throughout Cape May County, Prosecutor Robert Taylor announced Thursday.

A four-month investigation ended March 18 with the execution of two search warrants in Middle Township. That search led to the recovery of six flat panel televisions, numerous DVD players and laptop computers, a suspected grenade and multiple military ID cards.

Charles Caruso, 42, was charged with several counts of burglary and theft, multiple weapons and drug charges, trafficking in personal identification and possession of stolen government documents. Darren Rogers, 43, was charged with several counts of burglary and theft. Joanna Jordan, 28, was charged with receiving stolen property.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional burglary and theft charges against Caruso and Rogers are pending.

Caruso was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $150,000 bail. Rogers was lodged there in lieu of $50,000 bail. Jordan was released on a summons.
