Pleasantville police arrested three men on drug charges Friday after executing a warrant at an alleged “crack den” following a monthlong investigation.

Police said Robert Williams, 36, of Pleasantville, was charged with possession and distribution of heroin and distribution of drug paraphernalia; Malik Smith, 21, of Pleasantville, was charged with possession and distribution of heroin; and Charles Summer, 31, of Philadelphia, was charged with possession and distribution of crack cocaine. Summer was also charged on fugitive warrants from Atlantic County and Philadelphia.

Officers searched a home in the Bay Harbor Apartments on South Main Street in Pleasantville after observing multiple narcotics transactions and incidents of use during the investigation, police said.

Pleasantville police Chief Jose Ruiz said the arrests were the result of good work by his officers, particularly the case agent, Detective Adam Brownlee.

“I commend all the detectives for this excellent work, and especially Detective Brownlee, for removing a serious threat to the quality of life and safety in one of our neighborhoods,” he said.

All three suspects were in the Atlantic County jail. Williams was being held on $30,000 bail, Smith on $20,000 and Summer on $15,000.
