Pleasantville police are investigating an armed robbery involving three juveniles Tuesday evening.

Police responded to the area of Franklin Boulevard and Milan Avenue at about 5:45 p.m. when a local businessman reported witnessing the alleged robbery.

Police said the juveniles, one of which was armed with a handgun, approached the woman and snatched her purse.

They fled on foot toward the Black Horse Pike, and were apprehended by several officers, including a K-9, police said.

The juveniles, ages 12 to 13, were identified by the victim and the businessman, police said. The stolen items were recovered.

The three suspects were taken into custody and their parents were notified, police said. The three will be charged on a juvenile petition with armed robbery, conspiracy and weapons offenses.

The weapon used has not been recovered, but police are still searching.

Anyone with information should contact police at (609) 641-6100.
