GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP — Beef jerky laced with the mind-altering compound found in marijuana was among the drugs seized after a police officer conducted a motor-vehicle stop at Route 30 and Taylor Avenue.

Police also found inhalers and dabs containing the same ingredient — THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol — as well as more than a pound of marijuana and a large amount of cash.

McGregor Bernadin, 23, of Smyrna, Delaware, was stopped by K-9 Officer Brent Lopez on May 10 at 4:30 p.m. after the officer observed a traffic violation, township police said.

Further investigation found the drugs, as well as hemp oil syringes.

Bernadin was charged with possession of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

He was released on a summons.
