A Toms River man was arrested Tuesday in the overdose death of a Bayville man.

Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato said Gregory Koc, 34, of Pine Street, was charged with strict liability for a drug-induced death, manslaughter and distribution and possession offenses for fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid.

Toms River police found Kenneth Cook, 28, unresponsive in the restroom of a Kmart on Route 37 on Aug. 3. Officers determined Cook had overdosed, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation found Koc to be the dealer of the fatal drug.

Koc is being held in the Ocean County jail on $350,000 cash bail.
