LOWER TOWNSHIP — An accident on Arizona Avenue resulted in charges of vehicle theft and summonses for the driver, police said.

Michael V. Reichenbach, 35, of the Burleigh section of Middle Township, was still inside an overturned 2010 Chrysler when police and other first responders arrived about 11 p.m. Wednesday following a report of a vehicle accident with entrapment.

Police said Reichenbach was pulled from the vehicle by members of the Villas Fire Department. An investigation found he was traveling west on Arizona Avenue and struck a parked vehicle, causing his vehicle to overturn.

Reichenbach had stolen the vehicle from a client who hired him to renovate a property, police said.

He was taken first to Cape Regional Medical Center by the Lower Township Rescue Squad and then arrested on outstanding warrants as well as charged with theft of a motor vehicle.

Reichenbach also was issued summonses related to the accident, police said.

He was held at the Cape May County jail on the warrants.
