Lower Township police

LOWER TOWNSHIP — A township man has been charged with driving while intoxicated twice in one week.

When officers arrived Monday evening to a report of a crash in the area of the 700 block of Tabernacle Road, they found Jason Poole, 39, of the North Cape May section of the township, had run off the road and into a utility pole, police said.

Poole was issued three summonses for DWI, failure to maintain lane and reckless driving, police said. He was released pending a court date.

On Oct. 31, Poole was charged with DWI in North Cape May.

Patrolwoman Jennifer Anzelone is investigating the crash. The Erma Volunteer Fire Company and the Lower Township Rescue Squad assisted at the scene.
