Atlantic City police have arrested a man wanted in connection with the September shooting of two brothers.

Muhammad Khalid, 23, was arrested shortly after 5 p.m. Monday during a motor vehicle stop by Officer Mohammed Kaiser.

Khalid is charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses in the Sept. 22 shooting of Derrick and Adam Ross on the 500 block of Adriatic Avenue about 4:40 p.m.

Khalid was just taken into custody inside the motor vehicle on outstanding warrants in relation to the incident in which Derrick Ross, 20, was struck in the groin, and Adam Ross, 23, was hit in the arm and chest.

Khalid also was arrested last month after it was discovered a gunshot wound he suffered was accidentally self-inflicted.

It was unclear when the warrant on the shootings was signed. Khalid is in the Atlantic County jail on $100,000 bail.
