ATLANTIC CITY — Haircuts aren’t the only services being offered at a local barbershop, police said.

The owner and an employee of Cut Masterz on Pennsylvania Avenue were arrested Friday after an investigation found they were dealing pot out of the shop, Lt. James Sarkos said.

A three-week investigation by Detective William Warner led to a search of the shop about noon.

Police seized 95 grams of marijuana valued at about $950, along with $663 believed to be proceeds from drug sales, Sarkos said.

Owner William Ferrell, 33, of Pleasantville, and employee John Wilson, 38, of Vineland, are each charged with possession with intent to distribute, possession within a school zone and possession within 500 feet of a park. Their bails have been set at $50,000 with a 10 percent option.

The state Division of Consumer Affairs’ Enforcement Bureau assisted in the investigation. The mercantile license for the shop has been suspended, Sarkos said.

In 2011, three men were arrested inside the shop on similar charges.
