A driver who was rescued from an overturned vehicle last week in Lower Township has been charged with driving while intoxicated, authorities said.
Police said Christine McCann, of the Villas section of Lower Township, was in an overturned vehicle after striking a parked vehicle Dec. 3, police said.
She was trapped when emergency responders arrived at 8 p.m. in the 100 block of Alexander Avenue, police said. Firefighters extracted her from the vehicle and she was taken to Cape Regional Medical Center for minor injuires.
McCann was arrested and charged with DWI and several other motor vehicle summonses, police said.
