A dense fog advisory is in effect for all of South Jersey through 11 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Widespread fog will impact the morning commute, with areas of dense fog reducing visibility to less than 1/4 mile through much of South Jersey.

As of 7 a.m., all airport weather stations from Egg Harbor Township to Millville to Rio Grande were reporting only a 1/4 mile visibility in dense fog.

Drivers should reduce their speed and increase their following distance while the fog persists for the next few hours.

Winds are forecast to pick up later Wednesday, and more rain should move in as well.  The fog should begin to lift as a result, and visibilities will improve by late morning into the afternoon.
