EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP — A vehicle flipped Thursday on Delilah Road in what the driver reported as a road-rage incident.
Bryan J. Untalan, 31, of Egg Harbor Township, said he lost control of his 2001 Honda Civic about 1:30 p.m. as he was driving west on Delilah Road near Fork Road in the Farmington section, according to police.
Untalan reported the driver of a black Volvo sedan pulled in front of his vehicle, accelerated to the speed limit and then stopped suddenly.
Untalan tried to pass the vehicle, which then sped up and paced him, preventing him from getting back into his lane, police said.
A large truck was headed east on Delilah Road as Untalan drove back into his original lane. Untalan lost control of the car, which rolled over and came to rest on the driver’s side, the statement said.
Firefighters used a hydraulic extrication tool to cut Untalan from the car.
He walked to an ambulance, which took him to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, in Atlantic City to be evaluated.
The Volvo driver left the scene of the crash.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information about the vehicle that left the scene may call police at 609-927-5200.
Officer Jim Ludwig is investigating.
