UPPER DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP — One driver flown to an area hospital with seriously injured after a Monday morning car accident.

According to State Police, the accident occurred at 9:56 a.m.

Two vehicles, a Ford Taurus and a Mitsubishi Galant collided at the intersection of Centerton and Finley Roads.

Fire crews and emergency medical services were called to the scene.

The driver of the Taurus was extricated from her car and was suffering serious injuries. The unidentified woman was taken by helicopter to Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

Trooper Alejandro Goez said the driver of the Galant, who was also not identified, suffer minor injuries, but was not taken to a hospital. Two young passengers in the car were no injured.

The State Police Crime Scene and Fatal Accident units are investigating the accident.
