A Mullica Township man who allegedly threatened a store clerk with an electric shaver as if it were a firearm was arrested Sunday night by Egg Harbor City Police.
Patrolmen Matthew Landicini and Dylan Hutton were alerted to an armed robbery in progress at the Harbor Market on Philadelphia Avenue while on patrol at about 8 p.m.
The patrolmen observed a man exit the store wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black gloves and a bandana. He fled north on Philadelphia Avenue with the officers in pursuit.
The suspect was apprehended at the corner of Philadelphia Avenue and Arago Street and identified as 31-year-old Anthony Roberts. He was found in possession of $100 and an electric shaver, which he allegedly pointed at the store clerk from underneath his sweatshirt as if it were a gun.
