LOWER TOWNSHIP — Four men have been charged in a home invasion and robbery reported in Villas last week, police said.

About 12:30 p.m. Nov. 22, police responded to the 200 block of Arbor Road.

A resident had answered the door to let someone in and four men pushed into the home, police said in a statement.

The men knocked over a woman holding an infant, hit a man in the home with a guitar and left the house with an unknown amount of money, police said.

The man in the home was treated for minor injuries by the Lower Township Rescue Squad, police said.

Police charged Marcus Wright, 25, of Villas; Edward Arroyo, 26, of Del Haven, Middle Township; Jonathan Fernandez, 26, of Villas; and Nathaniel Richardson, 28, of Cape May Court House, with burglary, robbery, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon and conspiracy.

Wright was additionally charged with endangering the welfare of children, simple assault, theft, and criminal mischief and conspiracy.

Arroyo and Fernandez were additionally charged with aggravated assault.

Richardson was additionally charged with aggravated assault, theft and criminal mischief.

All four men were put in the Cape May County jail on $150,000 bail.

The incident is still under investigation, police said.
