GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP — Police are searching for a man who robbed a gas attendant and beat him with a baseball bat Monday night at the Delta Gas Station on the White Horse Pike.

Police went to the gas station at 734 W. White Horse Pike at 9 p.m. after a report of an armed robbery. The attendant, Mizra Baig, told police he was approached by a man who hit him several times with a baseball bat and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from his pockets.

Baig was taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Campus, with injuries not considered life-threatening.

The attacker is described as a white man between the ages of 35 and 40 with a long, dark beard.
