A Glassboro woman was killed and two men were injured late Sunday in a two-car crash in Maurice River Township, state police said in a news release.

Police said that a 1994 Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by Noe Cruz-Castro, 26, of Woodbine, was traveling south on Route 47 near Rt. 347 in Maurice River Township, when it crossed the center line and into the northbound lane. The Mitsubishi crashed head-on into a 2001 Hyundai Elantra driven by Edward Gardner, 58 of Glassboro, Gloucester County.

Gardner and his passenger, Linda Gardner, 56, both suffered severe injuries. Edward Gardner was airlifted to Atlantic City Medical Center, City Campus. Linda Gardner was taken to South Jersey Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Cruz-Castro was taken to South Jersey Regional Medical Center for moderate injuries.

Charges are pending, police said.
